FFP Digital is a one person web and software business in Ipswich, Queensland, west of Brisbane, building websites for electrical contractors across Ipswich and Brisbane. A site from FFP puts your call button and your electrical contractor licence number on the first screen, gives you a page for each service and each suburb you work, and links your ServiceM8 online booking and job forms so an enquiry at nine at night is a booked job by the morning. An electrician's website is quoted after a 15 minute call, as one fixed price agreed before any work starts. A domestic electrical contractor in Brisbane's western suburbs with 12 field staff is a current client. Ring David Webster on 0459 567 884 or email hello@ffpdigital.com.au.
What an electrician's website has to do
Someone with no power at 7pm is not reading your About page. They are on a phone, they have searched "electrician Ipswich" or "emergency electrician Springfield", and they will ring the first number that looks real. The site has four jobs.
- An emergency call button in the first screen. A tap to call link, sized for a thumb, on every page, with the hours you actually answer next to it. If you run a ServiceM8 after hours flow, the button goes to that number.
- Services by suburb. A page for switchboard upgrades, one for smoke alarms, one for EV chargers, one for solar and battery work, and the suburbs you cover named on each. That is how someone in Ripley, Springfield, Karalee or Goodna finds you instead of the bloke whose site only says Brisbane.
- Your licence number, visible. In Queensland the licensed name, the words that say you are licensed, and the electrical contractor licence number all have to be on your advertising, and your website is advertising. Section 188 below has the detail.
- Reviews people can check. Your Google reviews, shown on the site and linked back to the Google listing so they can be verified, with the review ask sent from ServiceM8 after the job rather than when you remember.
What FFP Digital builds
- A fast site on your own domain, built phone first, with the hosting and analytics accounts in your name.
- A page for each service and each suburb you want to be found for, each with the suburb in the title and the call button in the first screen.
- Your licensed name and electrical contractor licence number in the footer of every page and on the contact page.
- ServiceM8 online booking forms linked from the site, so a customer can pick a time and leave the job details without ringing.
- Google Business Profile and GA4 set up so you can see which jobs came from the site, from Google Maps and from word of mouth.
- A missed call text back and an enquiry form that lands in ServiceM8, so the job is still yours in the morning.
How a job runs
- A 15 minute call. What you do, where you work, whether you are on ServiceM8, and what is wrong with the site you have now.
- A screenshare. We look at your current site, your Google listing and your ServiceM8 online booking settings together, so the quote is for your business and not a template.
- One written quote, one fixed price. Agreed before any work starts. Nothing is added later without you saying yes first.
- The build, with two short check ins. Everything else happens by message, in your own time, between jobs.
- Go live, then check it. We check the enquiries against the problem we started with. If it did not move anything, we say so.
ServiceM8 online booking and job forms on the site
ServiceM8 hosts online booking forms for free. You configure how they work, then link to them from your website or social media, and a customer can pick a time and leave the job details day or night; you can also ask for a deposit or full payment up front when they book (ServiceM8, Online Bookings). FFP puts that link where the customer is looking, tracks the click in GA4, and sets the booking form up so the job lands in ServiceM8 with the right category, the site address and the photos the customer attached. If you are already on ServiceM8, we also build the custom reports, forms and add-ons that make it fit how your business runs.
One timely example. By 1 January 2027 every existing private home, townhouse, unit and manufactured home in Queensland must have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms (Queensland Government, smoke alarms). A smoke alarm page with the deadline on it and a booking form under it is the one page an Ipswich electrician's site should have this year. We wrote up how to run the smoke alarm rush from ServiceM8.
The licence number rule, in one line
Under section 188 of the Electrical Safety Regulation 2026 (Queensland), an electrical contractor who publishes an advertisement about the business must state the name the licence is held in (or the registered business name), that the holder is licensed under the Act, and the electrical contractor licence number, with a maximum penalty of 40 penalty units (Electrical Safety Regulation 2026, s 188; the regulator is the Electrical Safety Office). A website is an advertisement, so FFP puts all three in the footer of every page. Our free guide to electrical compliance paperwork covers certificates, test and tag and the rest, state by state.
A Brisbane electrical contractor, 12 field staff
A domestic electrical contractor in Brisbane's western suburbs, with 12 field staff and a workshop, runs ServiceM8 and Xero. FFP built the timesheet tool its crew has used since August 2026; the gap between a day worked and the timesheet landing in the office went from 74 hours to 11. Tammy Fox, who runs the office, in her own messages:
Before: "The process is insane."
Three weeks in: "I didn't have to chase anyone for timesheets this week!"
Straight answers
How much does an electrician's website cost? It is a fixed price, quoted after a 15 minute call about what your business needs. You get one price in writing before we start, and nothing gets added later without you saying yes first.
Am I locked into a contract? No. A website is one piece of work, scoped and priced up front, on your own domain with the accounts in your name. There is no monthly retainer unless you ask for ongoing help.
Do you work with ServiceM8? Yes, ServiceM8 is where we do most of our work. The website links to your ServiceM8 online booking forms, and we build the custom reports, forms and add-ons that make ServiceM8 fit how your business runs.
